Driving the Future: The state of autonomous vehicles

In this interview, Dr. G.V.V. Ravi Kumar explains the current state of autonomous vehicles – while taking a drive around in the driverless buggy built by Infosys. The golf cart was retrofitted with a patented drive-by-wire technology. It will be used in controlled industrial, educational, airport, and amusement parks environments. The drive-by-wire system comprises auto-braking and navigation features equipped with advanced LiDAR and vision technologies. The cart has an on-board computer equipped with state-of-the-art AI and deep learning engine to detect objects, lanes, and curbs for navigation.
