Springboard, Our CSR Program
Springboard is Infosys’ Corporate Social Responsibility program in Australia and New Zealand. The program’s vision is to help create a more equitable community by enabling inclusive education, digital learning and engagement experiences. Through digitally accessible content, always-on learning, and bridging programs, Infosys aims to create pathways for learning and education for underrepresented communities in the region.
Nurturing Digital Skills and Equity in Australia and New Zealand
As we move forward, we’re committed to nurturing digital skills in Australia and New Zealand. Along with our partners like GovHack and Young ICT Explorers, and with initiatives like Government of Australia’s New Colombo Plan, we’re supporting ideas that will help our communities in Australia and New Zealand.
GovHack
Infosys has been the Lead International Sponsor for GovHack – the largest open data hackathon in the southern hemisphere. Talent from across the continent participate in leveraging open data and digital technology to help address some of the biggest problems that we face as a community in the region.
Government of Australia’s New Colombo Plan
The New Colombo Plan is a signature initiative of the Australian government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region. Infosys is one of the major private sector partners with Australian government for this plan. Infosys is also a sponsor for the New Colombo Plan Scholarship and Mobility Programs, helping young Australians work on exciting projects of global significance. The New Colombo Plan scholars join Infosys through our flagship global internship program – InStep every year.
Building More Digitally Accessible Learning Experiences
As a technology company, we’re leveraging technology for good to create digitally accessible experiences for people with disability along with our partners like the Australian Network on Disability.
Infosys Community Partners
Our partnerships with not-for-profit organizations, community groups and learning institutions allow us to help enable a more equitable community in the region. We’re focused on creating pathways to learning and education for under-represented communities.
In addition, over 5,500 of our employees in the region have an opportunity to participate in volunteering engagements to help our community, through goods donations, pro-bono work, sponsorships, grants, skills, and mentoring, among others.
Our community partners include the Aboriginal Literacy Foundation, Australian Network on Disability, Auckland City Mission, Foodbank, Random Hacks of Kindness, The Salvos, VincentCare, and Young ICT Explorers among others.
Client Partnerships
We also partner with our clients on programs that are focused on helping our community. In 2020, we joined Tennis Australia and its partners to help bushfire affected communities in Australia through the Aces for Bushfire Relief program.
Volunteering
Volunteering is the cornerstone of Infosys’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This is an initiative that provides our employees in the region an opportunity to contribute to the different CSR programs driven by Infosys and its partner.
Every Infosys employee in Australia and New Zealand receives one day of paid volunteer leave in a year. An employee can choose to volunteer as part of an event organized by the Infosys CSR committee, or to volunteer independently, based on guidelines shared by our community partners.
